About the book

Hours on deck. Minutes in the water.

Hours of waiting between races? This book was made for that.

Swim meets are long. Your race lasts a minute, and the wait lasts all weekend. Hurry Up & Wait: Swim Meet Edition turns the time on deck into something better than another hour on a screen.

Sized to fit in a swim bag. With 10 meet logs and a season tracker, one book covers 10 meets, not just one weekend.

What to pack with it

Colored pencils and a pencil sharpener. Markers work on the coloring pages, which are printed one-sided, but pencils are easier on a wet pool deck.

A note in the book for swimmers: this book is for the waiting, not the racing. Check the heat sheet, listen for your event and never miss a race for a game.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

What ages is the Swim Meet Edition for?

Kids aged 8 to 12. The art uses real pool scenes and swim gear rather than cartoon characters, so it doesn’t feel too young for older swimmers.

Markers or colored pencils?

Coloring pages are printed one-sided so markers don’t bleed through, but colored pencils are recommended because pool decks are wet.

Can two swimmers share one book?

Yes. The teammate games, like Race to the Wall and Four in a Lane, are played with just the book and two pencils.

What goes in the meet logs?

Each of the 10 meet logs has space for the meet name, pool, date and pool length (25 m, 50 m or 25 yd), then each event’s heat, lane, entry time, final time and whether it was a new PB. A season PB tracker follows.

How big is the book?

It’s a 100-page, 7 × 10 inch paperback with a matte cover, sized to fit in a swim bag.

Are the answers included?

Yes. Answer keys for the puzzles are at the back of the book.

How long will one book last?

The 10 meet logs and season PB tracker mean one book covers 10 meets, not just one weekend.

Is it a good team gift?

Yes. The teammate games are made for two players, so swimmers can play together on deck. For team or club orders, email us at hello@packedandreadypress.com.

How fast will it arrive?

The books are printed and shipped by Amazon. Delivery times depend on your location and shipping option, and Amazon shows the estimated delivery date before you check out.
